Overview

In addition to the standard coursework, CEVE 521 students will lead one Wednesday Paper Discussion session.

You will not simply present a paper; you will design an active learning experience.

Requirements

  1. Curate: Select a relevant paper and set pre-reading questions.
  2. Design: Create a lesson plan with at least one interactive element (e.g., Think-Pair-Share, Concept Map).
  3. Lead: Facilitate the 50-minute discussion.

Timeline

You must meet with the instructor 2 weeks prior to your session to approve your plan.

Deliverables

  • Pre-reading questions (posted 1 week before your session)
  • Lesson plan (submitted 2 weeks before for approval)
  • Facilitation of the 50-minute discussion
